LEBANON
- Crawfordsville High School's girls golf team earned a top-three
finish at Saturday's Western Boone Invitational at Cool Lake Golf
Course.
Connersville won the 15-team meet with a 342, followed by Lebanon (345) and Crawfordsville (378).
North Montgomery (428) placed 10th, while county- and conference rival Southmont (429) finished one stroke back in 11th.
Four
Crawfordsville players - juniors Courtney Hamitlon (90), Kaitlyn Carey
(93), sophomore Clancy Wolf (97) and senior Alex Gasaway (98) - fired
rounds in the 90s.
"We had really consistent scores,"
Crawfordsville coach Darren Haas said. "Alex Gasaway came through with
a 98. I'm really proud of her. That's her first 18-hole round."
Senior Jenna Whalen led the Mounties with a 94, while senior Aubri Rush and junior Caitlin Williams each added 97s.
North
Montgomery faces Western Boone today, while Southmont travels to
Cloverdale on Tuesday and Crawfordsville takes on North Putnam and
Tri-West.
