Crawfordsville
continued a strong showing in Sagamore Conference swimming by downing Lebanon
in both boys and girls action Tuesday evening. The Athenian girls swept to a
115-69 victory, while the boys triumphed 112-72.
In girls’
action, Crawfordsville was led by Becca Howland and Missy Robinson who both
claimed victories in two events. Howland won the 200 Yard Freestyle and the 100
Yard Backstroke. Robinson staked claim to the 200 Yard IM and the 500 Yard
Freestyle.
On the boys’
side, no single swimmer won more than one event. Brett Linn captured the diving
competition. You will remember him from the Athenians state champion baseball
team last spring.
