Crawfordsville leads the way with three players named to
first team honors on the Sagamore Al-Conference Softball team. Stormy Staton,
Marrissa French and Chelsea Day were the Athenians so honored. The bad news for
Sagamore Conference foes is that Staton is just a junior and both French and
Day are just sophomores. With the way Crawfordsville dominated the league this season,
it appears more of the same may be on the way for the next couple of years.
Tri-West,
Southmont all placed two players on the first team.
Skelton were the Tigers named, while Lacie Woodall and Cindy Bondy represent
Tri-West. Jami Addler and Casey Stall brought back All-Conference fame to
Southmont. Alli Thompson and Ashley Buis are the
Montgomery
Jordan Hoskins. The first team is rounded out by Cara Conklin of
Crawfordsville again placed three players on the second
team, Elizabeth Zachery, Sarah Williams, and Ariel Hinton. They were joined by
three members of the Western Boone Stars,Cari Clanton, Jennifer Biesecker and MacKenzie
Benson. Ashley Holmes and Laci Richardson represent
Crossley and Kaylee Shaw are the Tri-West Bruins named.
in Jessica Ayres, Brittney leach and Caitlin Pearcy. The second team is rounded
out by Heather Reeves of Danville and
Tori Harmon.
